Job Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with the department director and will be responsible for a broad range of activities related to IT and existing systems. Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to internal users (level 2-3) at various offices in St-Hubert and Val des Sources in Estrie, both in-person and remotely.
- Using protocols to qualify systems (Computers, Servers, and Software) to validate the security of applications in use.
- Creating Exchange and Active Directory accounts.
- Creating and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs), PowerShell scripts, and structuring and documenting group strategies within Active Directory.
- Assisting remote users via VPN.
- Configuring and installing network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, VOIP, VPN).
- Proactively identifying improvements to processes.
- Developing and documenting procedures for infrastructure components under their responsibility.
- Preparing training materials and conducting training sessions on IT tools for users.
- Contributing to the deployment and adherence to the company’s cybersecurity policies.
- Providing support during and outside normal working hours (occasionally, with opportunities to work evenings and weekends during deployments).
- Administering, installing, and configuring servers in a virtual environment.
- Administering, installing, and configuring servers and NAS in a virtual environment.
- Tracking and processing user requests by documenting incidents in the ticketing system.
- Administering, installing, configuring, and ensuring proper functioning of various IT equipment such as computers, tablets, MFP printers, IP telephony, mobile phones, and all other electronic devices necessary for users.
- Performing any other relevant tasks as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor within the scope of the IT technician role.
