(Project Management to Construction Management), a premier professional services firm specializing in Program and Project Management, Construction Management, and Project Controls throughout the design and construction phases of projects. Our expertise lies in Project Controls, which encompasses Scheduling, Cost Controls, Document Management, Budget Monitoring, Estimating, Risk Analysis, Claims Avoidance and Mitigation, Change Management, and Earned Value Management.
This position is based in Pomona, California with a hybrid-remote model (working in the office/field on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
- Engage in initial field evaluations to discuss project options with Transmission Engineering and Environmental teams, providing insights on construction feasibility.
- Adopt a balanced approach to project construction design, meeting engineering needs, construction viability, and complying with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct field assessments as required to create a comprehensive plan for all construction activities supporting the selected project alternative.
- Draft a detailed construction narrative aligning with the Engineering scope of work, including comprehensive descriptions of all construction activities, personnel, and timeline estimates.
- Create a Google Earth map set of all construction work zones, collaborate with the Project Team, and submit the map set to the GIS team for processing.
- Compile a comprehensive list of necessary project permits.
- Assist in entering project details into EHSync and addressing data inquiries from the Environmental, Real Properties, and Government Lands teams.
- Support the Project Execution Strategy review with the Project Team and local Grid to identify the Responsible Party for Construction, offering professional opinions based on available skills and resources.
- Collaborate with Grid resources to ensure compliance with the TLRR Program Plan requirements.
- Consult and negotiate with the GCC to formulate a preliminary construction schedule and initial outage requests.
- Contribute to the development of specifications and scopes of work to facilitate the bidding process for contracted project tasks.
- Support the bidding process by participating in job walks, answering technical queries, and engaging in bid review and selection.
- Take part in the project construction kickoff meeting to establish performance expectations.
- Attend regular construction meetings, providing subject matter expertise and progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Meet with Contractors as necessary to address and rectify performance issues.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on project QA/QC documentation.
- Assist with the Final Acceptance process and project closeout.
