We are looking for a passionate and driven Consumables Operations Manager to join our rental facility in Milwaukee, WI. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow with us and contribute significantly to the future of construction. It uniquely combines inside sales execution with operational and financial responsibilities as a branch leader.
Key Responsibilities
Inside Sales & Account Development
- Manage all inbound and outbound inside sales activities via phone, email, and in-person interactions at the Milwaukee branch.
- Proactively identify and develop new accounts among contractors, field teams, and commercial and industrial clients; leverage leads from our existing equipment rental customer base.
- Create competitive quotes for tools, consumables, fasteners, PPE, and other jobsite supplies; oversee the complete sales cycle from inquiry to closure.
- Establish lasting purchasing relationships through consistent product availability, quick turnaround, and expert advice.
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities while exploring managed inventory and vending solutions with high-volume customers.
- Monitor sales activities, pipeline, and KPIs in the CRM; report on revenue, margins, order volumes, and new account acquisitions.
Team & Operations Leadership
- Recruit, onboard, and manage branch personnel as our team expands; foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and customer-centric service.
- Set clear performance benchmarks and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and accountability.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on staffing strategies and performance management.
Branch Operations & Inventory Management
- Supervise all daily operations including inventory oversight, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.
- Manage branch budgets, operational costs, and profitability; implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
