You are a methodical writer who excels in distilling complexity into clarity. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to consistency, you transform intricate design decisions into straightforward, actionable content. Driven by a passion for creating documentation that empowers teams, you recognize that outstanding design systems are anchored by exceptional content. Whether clarifying the distinction between a button and a link or defining the tone for error messages, you approach every piece of writing with precision, empathy, and skill.
What You’ll Do
- Audit and document over 50 design system components, establishing thorough guidelines covering usage, anatomy, behavior, accessibility, and content.
- Develop voice, tone, and content standards for component documentation, creating templates and patterns that can scale across the system.
- Collaborate with the Design Systems Lead to prioritize components, comprehend design decisions, and ensure guidelines mirror real-world application.
- Define and document content patterns for prevalent UI scenarios including error states, empty states, CTAs, and validation messages.
- Create before/after examples that illustrate best practices and common pitfalls for each component.
- Engage cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to ensure guidelines are practical and aligned with team workflows.
- Enhance the discoverability and organization of design system documentation in Figma and Notion.
