The Procurement team is essential to the operational backbone of Stripe. Our newly enhanced Procurement organization encompasses Third Party Risk, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Deal Management, Procurement Enablement, Accounts Payable, and Travel & Expense Management.
About Contracting Operations (Supplier Deal Management)
In 2022, we launched the Supplier Deal Management (SDM) team to streamline supplier engagements in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing and our business units. This pivotal role is designed to optimize the supplier contracting process, reduce operational friction for business leaders, collaborate with TPRM and Legal to mitigate risks, and enhance the speed at which Stripe can engage with vital suppliers.
SDM’s Mission: To facilitate efficient agreements through structured processes, ensuring a personalized and guided user experience while effectively managing both value and risk for Stripe.
Your Role
We are seeking a dedicated Supplier Deal Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will enhance user experiences by managing and reviewing supplier contracting requests through a structured process that includes:
1) Intake FAQ: Respond to initial inquiries and educate Directly Responsible Individuals (DRIs) on the risk assessment and supplier contracting process.
2) Contract Preparation: Conduct an initial assessment of contractual terms or assemble appropriate Stripe templates and prepare agreements for legal review per established guidelines.
3) Collaborate with the business on Commercial Negotiations when applicable.
4) Customer Service: Deliver a first-class, guided experience for all transactions.
5) Monitor productivity and communication with DRIs using our ZIP procurement tool.
Additionally, you will undertake ad hoc tasks related to contracts, including research and support for stakeholders and other procurement teams as needed.
