Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Monitor and operate Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to ensure seamless production processes within the facility.Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with company and industry safety standards, preventing accidents, and properly documenting safety compliance.Control plant operations through DCS and other control panels, ensuring reliable and efficient operations.Optimize site processes through remote control of equipment and close coordination with field operators.Communicate operational status and any abnormalities promptly to field operators, shift supervisors, and engineering teams.Start, stop, and adjust equipment as per approved procedures, alarms, and engineering instructions.Maintain detailed logs, reports, and shift handovers to ensure operational continuity and document any delays or curtailments.Contribute to operational excellence by training staff, coordinating utility services, participating in investigations, and implementing corrective actions in alignment with EH&S and industry best practices.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.A minimum of 5 years of experience in process plant operations, specifically in control room settings.Proven track record in safety, health, and environmental protection.Strong leadership and supervisory skills; a collaborative team player.High energy, self-motivated, and positive attitude.Understanding of controller operational modes – manual, automatic, cascade, setpoint of process variable, controller output, etc.Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure while adapting to changing conditions.Proficient in reading and understanding equipment manuals and procedures.Capable of writing and revising operational procedures.
