Join Assystem Energy & Infrastructure as a Control Systems Engineer on a 12-month contract at our client's facility in Derby. This is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the advancement of engineering and testing capabilities in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
Your role will involve the design and development of new production and experimental testing facilities, enhancing reliability, and minimizing costly downtime, all while ensuring the safety of personnel and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and finalize high-level functional and operational requirements, including testability aspects.
Design and implement sophisticated control system solutions that meet specified requirements and standards.
Collaborate within a cross-disciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions for production and testing facilities.
Software Development: Create complex software modules based on philosophy documents and modernize outdated control systems.
Hardware Design: Develop detailed hardware designs from concept documents for new or upgraded installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during software and hardware integration testing, supporting commissioning efforts.
Generate high-quality technical reports and documentation in accordance with engineering best practices.
Provide technical support to the supply chain, evaluating electrical and control components and managing design updates.
Conduct project planning and control to ensure compliance with budget and schedule constraints.
