Position Overview:
The Controller will collaborate across various departments to provide financial insights essential for operational success. As a vital member of the plant leadership team, this role will be the primary contact for financial planning, analysis, cost accounting, and profit and loss oversight. The Controller will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and maintain robust internal controls while providing strategic guidance on operational and sales opportunities. This is a hands-on leadership position that encompasses both oversight and direct involvement in financial processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Steer financial decisions by setting, monitoring, and enforcing relevant policies and procedures.
- Safeguard assets through the establishment and enforcement of internal controls.
- Collaborate with VP of Sales and General Managers to enhance business value.
- Address critical plant requirements concerning product margins, performance metrics, and actual to budget comparisons.
- Compile and review financial statements for specific business units.
- Assist in budget preparation by creating schedules and collecting data.
