Position: Conveyancing Paralegal
Salary: Up to PHP 80,000/month
Work Schedule: Full-time, remote — aligned with New Zealand business hours
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Join our dynamic team as a Conveyancing Paralegal, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our property practice. You will oversee conveyancing transactions from initiation to settlement, working closely with the New Zealand land transfer and title system. Your expertise will involve direct communication with clients and relevant stakeholders throughout the process. The ideal candidate will possess robust experience in New Zealand conveyancing, be proficient in Land Online, and adept in practice management systems like One Law or Smokeball. We seek an independent worker who maintains our high standards of communication and accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage end-to-end conveyancing transactions, from initial instruction to settlement
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, banks, and other parties via email and phone throughout the process
- Utilize the NZ land transfer and title system, preparing and processing title dealings through Land Online (LINZ)
- Draft, review, and finalize all settlement documentation in accordance with NZ conveyancing regulations
- Coordinate the logistics of settlement including statements, requisitions, and confirmation of conditions
- Maintain precise, up-to-date records and notes within the One Law practice management system (or equivalent)
- Proactively update clients at each stage to keep them informed of their transaction
- Engage with government departments and relevant authorities as necessary
- Assist the principal lawyer with file management and additional tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVES:
- At least 2 years of practical experience in conveyancing, with a strong preference for New Zealand experience
- Proficient in Land Online (LINZ); a solid understanding of the NZ land information and title system is crucial
- Experience with One Law or similar practice management systems (e.g., Smokeball, LEAP)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NZ conveyancing process, including settlement procedures and title dealings
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and third parties
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple files with precision and organization
- Availability to work during New Zealand business hours
