Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Finance Manager to provide essential analytical support across various initiatives, including annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and data-driven decision-making. This position is based in the vibrant city of San Francisco, CA, and operates under a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate the company's annual planning, long-term forecasting, quarterly board presentations, and monthly financial performance reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within G&A to create annual operating budgets and strategic hiring plans.
Deliver ongoing financial reports and perform ad hoc analyses to support business partners in aligning resources with strategic outcomes.
Design and implement self-service dashboards and automated reporting systems that transform raw data into actionable, timely insights.
Work with the Procurement team to negotiate advantageous terms and maximize value for OpenAI.
Partner with Accounting to maintain the integrity of our financial statements and enhance their utility.
Ideal Candidate Profile
7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or strategic finance within high-growth or dynamic settings; prior investment banking or consulting experience is a plus.
Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of resolving complex issues independently; experience in developing compensation models (such as equity forecasting) is advantageous.
Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively communicate financial data as actionable insights to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines.
Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
Experience with forecasting platforms (e.g., Anaplan) for planning and budgeting processes.
