The Corporate PLC Programming Manager plays a pivotal role in leading Stratas Foods' programming team while providing essential IT/OT support across all production facilities. This position is integral in enhancing equipment performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives at every facility. Under the guidance of the immediate manager, the role also focuses on standardizing IT/OT processes and procedures to boost operational efficiency.
- Travel to various Stratas locations for short-term Engineering/Programming support as needed.
- Oversee and direct plant programming teams at all Stratas production sites.
- Manage projects that vary from large-scale to minor capital improvements, encompassing plant enhancements, sustainability initiatives, maintenance, and process standardization.
- Drive the standardization of automation processes across Stratas facilities.
- Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists to facilitate improvements.
- Lead sustainability projects, documenting and implementing innovative ideas across all facilities.
- Manage projects from conception through to completion.
- The position entails 30%-50% travel, potentially increasing to 70% at times.
- Analyze and make recommendations for packaging and process improvements.
- Support the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of process and business network equipment within plants.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Corporate IT and Process IT.
- Act as the main contact for plant-requisite IT and PLC Equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Technical Director.
- Collaborate closely with onsite teams and actively participate in onsite meetings to achieve departmental objectives.
