Fleetzero is at the forefront of innovation, developing cutting-edge electric and hybrid-electric propulsion systems designed for commercial vessels. As we expand our reach into Asia, we are seeking a commercially astute and well-connected professional to spearhead our operations in Southeast Asia.
This role presents a unique opportunity to build Fleetzero's presence from the ground up in a greenfield setting. You will be our inaugural commercial representative in the region, responsible for establishing a robust customer base, enhancing our market visibility, and developing a comprehensive commercial pipeline. While Singapore will serve as your operational hub, your influence will extend across the Asian market as it evolves.
In this role, you will oversee the entire commercial process from prospecting and technical qualification to deal structuring and closure. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and leadership teams in the US to effectively translate customer operational requirements into practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire sales cycle for electric and hybrid propulsion solutions, from initial contact to contract finalization.
- Identify and engage with ship owners, operators, fleet managers, and key decision-makers across Asia's maritime sectors.
- Conduct technical assessments to understand vessel specifications, operational demands, and power requirements.
- Articulate and differentiate Fleetzero's system architecture, performance, and pricing compared to existing alternatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure optimal solution design and pricing strategies.
- Manage proposal submissions, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize agreements with sophisticated clients.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline, forecasts, and documentation for all deals.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, partners, port authorities, classification societies, and other regional stakeholders.
- Represent Fleetzero at key industry events, forums, and maritime organizations (e.g., SMM Asia, MPA engagements).
