Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering is preferred.1 to 3 years of experience in the oil and gas field or with heavy equipment operation/site civil excavation is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).A willingness to perform fieldwork year-round, potentially for extended durations.Strong ability to work collaboratively with a technical team and effectively communicate with clients.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while exercising independent judgment and working autonomously.

Join EARTHRES, a Division of RESPEC, as a Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Construction Inspection Technician at our Morgantown, WV location. In this pivotal role, you will conduct comprehensive quality assurance inspections and maintain meticulous documentation for various Energy and Civil Engineering projects. Collaborate closely with Construction Inspection Management and Project Managers to ensure that all project specifications, standards, and timelines are adhered to.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting construction quality assurance inspections at Energy and Civil Construction Projects, ensuring compliance with design plans and DEP regulations.
- Performing soil compaction testing, including sieve analysis, one-point proctors, nuclear gauge testing, and proof roll testing.
- Overseeing environmental inspections for erosion and sedimentation controls, as well as ensuring permit compliance.
- Monitoring on-site contractor activities and coordinating any deviations from the original design with On-site Management, EARTHRES Management, and Project Managers as necessary.
- Creating detailed project documentation, including daily field reports, testing reports, and tracking site visitors and deliveries.
- Collaborating with EARTHRES Management, Staff, On-Site Contractors, and Clients to ensure timely project milestone completion.
- During periods without CQA fieldwork, leveraging your field service and technical expertise to assist EARTHRES with other field service programs, including AUTOCAD and Civil 3D drafting, as well as Operations and Engineering Support Services.
