As a Credit Analyst II, you will play a vital role in assessing and managing credit risk for both new and existing customers. This position requires you to conduct in-depth financial analysis and apply company credit policies with sound judgment. Building upon your foundational credit experience, you will transition from transactional credit tasks to more independent analyses, risk assessments, and decision-making processes.
In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of accounts, characterized by moderate to high complexity. Your responsibilities will include reviewing financial statements from public and private companies and providing well-supported credit recommendations. You will regularly engage with branch offices and internal stakeholders, striking a balance between exceptional customer service and prudent risk management.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate significant growth in credit analysis, possess the ability to work independently on most assignments, and be developing the confidence and judgment necessary for senior-level responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of financial statements and third-party financial data for domestic and international public and private customers to evaluate credit risk.
- Assess customer creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit limits, terms, and risk ratings in line with company policy.
- Oversee and monitor a portfolio of accounts, proactively identifying changes in financial conditions, payment behaviors, or business risks.
- Advise on modifications to risk ratings and credit limits based on payment trends, business type, terms, and other relevant factors.
- Analyze payment trends, industry conditions, and customer structures to facilitate informed credit decisions.
- Prepare journal entries in compliance with company policies, ensuring accuracy.
- Effectively communicate credit decisions, risk concerns, and financial requirements to branch offices and internal partners.
- Respond to credit-related inquiries from branch locations, offering timely and solution-oriented support.
- Draft internal documents, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Letters of Guarantee.
- Escalate higher-risk or more complex credit matters to senior analysts as necessary.
- Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.
Location Requirement:
This position is in-office at our branch located in Scottsdale, AZ. Remote work options are not available. Candidates must reside within commuting distance or be willing to relocate.
