Position Overview
As a pivotal member of our branch management team, the Credit Manager works closely with the Sales Manager to oversee branch operations. This role entails a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the seamless, safe, and profitable execution of store activities, all under the guidance of the General Manager. The Credit Manager plays a crucial role in achieving company goals, upholding quality standards, and complying with corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Sustain Customer Relationships
- Serve as a liaison between the company and customers, promoting the benefits of timely rental and lease agreement renewals
- Assist in the management of store staff and may oversee the activities of one or more employees
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations
- Analyze, prepare, and review store performance reports
- Document all customer commitments and interactions
- Guarantee that company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and collections are met
- Complete necessary paperwork for submission to corporate support
- Implement monthly marketing strategies and uphold internal quality control standards
- Manage customer accounts efficiently
- Oversee inventory and cash management
- Prepare daily work and delivery schedules, assign tasks, and enforce company policies
- Perform any other duties necessary for effective store management
Qualifications for Credit Manager
Strong organizational skills and a proven track record in collections
Excellent communication abilities
Adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to quickly learn and master the POS system
Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication with employees and customers
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and follow up on various tasks effectively
Competent in recognizing and solving problems as they arise
Must possess a valid driving record and meet insurance requirements
Consistent attendance is required, including evenings and weekends as needed
Education and Experience
Minimum two years of experience in Rent-to-Own, retail, or similar sectors with a focus on customer service, account management, sales, and merchandising.
Physical Demands
This position involves frequent lifting, loading, and moving of merchandise weighing between 50 to 300 pounds, along with activities such as stooping, bending, climbing, reaching, and grasping. The role may require navigating multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics. Prolonged periods of driving and standing are also required, and candidates must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
