Intellect is seeking a dedicated full-time Crisis Helpline Responder with a robust background as a helpline counselor or responder, complemented by formal training in Crisis Intervention or Suicide Prevention.

Key Responsibilities:
- Answer crisis support hotline calls from individuals affected by suicide, self-harm, or suicidal ideation, and provide guidance to concerned friends or family members.
- Perform thorough risk assessments, including lethality assessments for suicide cases.
- Offer professional crisis counseling services and personal support using de-escalation and intervention techniques.
- Evaluate callers' needs and triage for immediate safety or emergency medical assistance, referring them to appropriate services as needed.
- Document detailed call reports regarding key issues and referral actions taken.
- Adhere to compliance requirements under the Data Protection Acts 1988, 2003 & 2018 (GDPR).
- Assist in creating effective crisis management plans for callers in distress.
- Make prompt decisions on the next steps during calls when uncertainty arises.
