What Does Your Workday Look Like?
As a kitchen apprentice, you will be part of a modern and welcoming hotel team, working closely under the guidance of SVH Master Chef Rogér Rassin. This is not just any kitchen; we have five distinct restaurants, each with a unique character. From intimate fine dining to large events, every day brings new challenges and experiences.
We prioritize fresh, seasonal products. Your responsibilities will encompass all facets of kitchen work, from prep to plating. Your colleagues will provide the necessary support and guidance to help you master the craft. Additionally, we foster a friendly atmosphere, hosting staff parties twice a year!
Education through Valk Opleidingen
It is also possible to pursue your education through us. Together with NCVB, Van der Valk has established its own training house, offering recognized MBO programs following the vocational training route (BBL). You will attend theory classes 15 times a year for six hours at one of the three Van der Valk training locations. Practical skills will be learned in our kitchen, with a BPV supervisor monitoring your progress and learning outcomes closely.
