Join our dynamic culinary team as a Culinary Task Force Cook, where you will embark on exciting travel opportunities! This position requires 100% out-of-state travel to beautiful Mackinac Island, Michigan. You will be compensated at a competitive rate of $20.00 per hour, with overtime pay available. We also cover all travel expenses and provide one to two meals per day during your 10-week rotations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and quality standards.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with catering events and special functions as necessary.
- Manage inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipment.
- Set up, stock, and break down assigned cooking stations.
Utilize your knowledge of common food allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure guests' safety. Minimize food waste by following proper food storage time and temperature standards, and complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks. Execute safe knife handling skills and the proper use of all kitchen equipment.
