As a pivotal member of our Academic Operations team, the Curriculum Designer will report directly to the Curriculum Manager. This role is essential in the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of courses across diverse academic disciplines. The successful candidate will ensure that all course offerings are pedagogically robust, accessible, compliant with institutional policies, and delivered consistently. This hybrid position merges instructional design expertise with course coordination responsibilities, facilitating support for faculty, enriching student learning experiences, and upholding academic integrity and continuity across various sections and terms.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Design & Curriculum Development
Collaborate with Program Directors & the Academic Team to design, revise, and assess courses using evidence-based instructional practices, advanced digital learning tools, and established academic frameworks.
Create accessible, engaging, and inclusive learning materials that adhere to institutional policies, curriculum standards, and clearly articulated learning outcomes, ensuring necessary reviews and approvals are secured.
Develop assessments, rubrics, and learning activities that facilitate measurable outcomes while maintaining high academic standards, working closely with Program Directors and academic leadership.
Verify that course content aligns with campus standards for accessibility, online teaching excellence, higher education best practices, and integration with student support services, coordinating approvals through established academic channels.
Maintain a well-organized curriculum management system, ensuring that course materials are readily accessible to faculty, students, and administrators.
Faculty Support & Training
Ensure consistency and alignment across multiple course sections by maintaining master course shells.
Oversee timely updates to syllabi, assignments, and learning materials each term to ensure compliance with policies and curricular coherence.
Act as the primary liaison for faculty teaching assigned courses, providing support with course navigation, materials, expectations, and instructional clarifications.
Design and deliver comprehensive faculty training and professional development programs to keep instructors informed about effective teaching strategies, curriculum updates, and instructional technologies.
Monitor course delivery to ensure alignment with institutional policies, including accommodations and academic integrity guidelines.
