Job Summary
The Curriculum Developer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marine Corps Information Systems Training Center (MISTC) by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Command and Control (C2) training curriculum. This position ensures that all course materials adhere to Marine Corps Instructional Systems Development (MCISD) and System Approach to Training and Education (SATE) standards, thereby supporting training missions across both resident and distributed learning environments.
The Curriculum Developer will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructors, and government stakeholders to analyze training requirements and produce effective instructional materials that enhance MISTC courses and related training programs.
In light of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees are expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must comply with relevant safeguarding and compliance regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the MISTC curriculum, which includes lesson plans, instructor guides, student handouts, presentations, and supplemental materials.
- Utilize MCISD and SATE methodologies throughout the curriculum development life cycle, from analysis to evaluation.
- Conduct training needs analysis and front-end analysis to pinpoint performance gaps and establish learning objectives for MISTC courses.
- Create measurable terminal and enabling learning objectives, ensuring they align with Marine Corps doctrine, policy, and operational needs.
- Develop and enhance scenario-based, practical, and exercise-driven training materials that cater to C2 and related mission areas.
- Work collaboratively with MISTC instructors and subject matter experts to verify content accuracy, relevance, and instructional effectiveness.
- Incorporate feedback from After Instruction Reports, student critiques, instructor insights, and evaluation data to refine and improve courseware.
- Ensure all curriculum products are instructionally sound, logically organized, and suitable for the target audience and delivery method.
- Adapt and develop materials as necessary to meet evolving training needs.
