Job Summary: The Customer Service Representative will oversee and manage customer service operations and estimating activities to ensure exceptional service and responsiveness to our customers. This role involves executing various tasks to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluating customer requests for quotes and purchases to determine the feasibility of quotes and assist with order placement.
- Developing schedules for estimating, purchasing, and engineering to ensure timely responses to customer bids and quotes.
- Managing customer inquiries regarding order status, pricing, shipping dates, potential delays, and other necessary information.
- Keeping cost records updated to maintain an efficient quoting system for customer inquiries.
- Collaborating with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to expedite order fulfillment.
- Maintaining an accurate database of customer names and addresses.
- Ensuring the order entry and booking system in MRP is current.
- Integrating various functions such as estimating, purchasing, quality, and engineering when preparing quotes.
- Calculating prices, discounts, sales commissions, and shipping charges as required.
