Ideal Candidate Profile:High School diploma or equivalent experience.Ability to distinguish colors on facilities.Physical capability to handle 28-foot extension ladders (up to 75 lbs routine work) and utility access hole covers (up to 150 lbs).Willingness to complete service technician training, including POTS/DSL installation/repair, cable splicing/maintenance, and basic transmissions.Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.Comfortable working in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.Ability to work at heights (e.g., using ladders).Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, at various hours.A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.A professional and positive demeanor when representing the company's products and services.

Join the Brightspeed team as a Customer Service Technician! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet, video, and voice networks, including all necessary wiring and equipment. You will also play a key role in maintaining and repairing outside plant facilities within designated service areas. Please note, this position may require working various shifts, including mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed internet, video, and voice networks, including associated wiring and equipment.
- Conduct maintenance and repair work on outside plant facilities.
- Climb poles and use tools such as shovels and picks to manage cable installation and burial, including working in utility access holes or controlled environmental vaults (CEVs).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Provide assistance to other technical personnel as required.
- Support sales and marketing initiatives actively.
- Engage with customers and facilitate sales referrals.
