Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:A high school diploma or equivalent experience.Strong color differentiation skills for facility identification.Physical capability to handle a 28-foot extension ladder (up to 75 lbs.) and utility access hole covers (up to 150 lbs.).Willingness to successfully complete service tech boot camp training, including POTS/DSL installation and repair, cable splicing, maintenance, basic transmissions, air pressure, and HSI installations.Basic computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office applications.Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, utility holes).Comfortable working at heights (e.g., ladder work).Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at different times of day/night.A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.A positive and professional demeanor when representing the company’s products and services to customers.

Join Brightspeed as a Customer Service Technician and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our customers! In this position, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet, video, and voice networks, including all necessary wiring and equipment. Additionally, you will maintain and repair outside plant facilities within your designated geographic service area. This role requires flexibility as you may need to work varying shifts, including mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed internet, video, and voice networks along with associated wiring and equipment.
- Executing maintenance and repair tasks on outside plant facilities.
- Climbing poles, digging up and burying cables, working in utility access holes or controlled environmental vaults (CEV), and locating buried telephone cables.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Providing support to other technical personnel as needed.
- Engaging in sales and marketing initiatives with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Facilitating customer-facing work and generating sales referrals.
