As a Renewals Customer Success Manager, you will take ownership of the renewal lifecycle for your assigned customer portfolio. Your role will be crucial in ensuring contracts are renewed punctually, at optimal value, and aligned with customer outcomes.
This is a strategic role rather than a transactional one. You will drive customer retention by proactively managing risks, aligning with stakeholders, maintaining disciplined forecasting, and engaging in value-based negotiations.
You will collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure the renewal strategy is in sync with overall account health, expansion opportunities, and long-term customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute End-to-End Renewal Strategy
- Manage the renewal process for a designated portfolio of accounts (90–120 days prior to expiration).
- Engage proactively with customers and internal teams well ahead of renewal deadlines.
- Position renewals based on realized value and future outcomes, transcending mere contract continuation.
- Ensure Forecast Accuracy & Revenue Predictability
- Maintain an accurate rolling 90-day renewal forecast and effectively communicate renewal status, upside opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance renewal predictability and mitigate last-minute surprises.
