Cyber Penetration Tester - Onsite at Camp Pendleton, CA
Contingent Position
Join an innovative organization as a Cyber Penetration Tester to support vital defense initiatives directly onsite at Camp Pendleton, CA. This role is integral to a government contract focused on delivering exceptional Data Management and Cybersecurity services for the Testing, Engineering, Integration, and Sustainment of Marine Corps C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting adversarial penetration testing assessments of systems and applications, including approximately 3 major mission-based system-of-systems events per year and 48 individual Program of Record (POR) assessments annually.
- Engaging in cyber research and development activities, establishing isolated test environments to develop and test zero-day exploits against targeted systems without affecting operational environments.
- Performing thorough security analyses on systems and software to pinpoint vulnerabilities and propose proactive security enhancements.
- Effectively documenting and communicating technical research findings to stakeholders across both technical and non-technical domains, with a commitment to delivering reports within 5 days of government-established deadlines.
- Creating presentation materials that clearly convey cyber penetration testing outcomes.
- Providing mentorship and education to junior team members in relevant technical fields.
- Developing process documentation to facilitate effective cyber penetration testing execution.
- Participating in integrated product teams (IPTs) to contribute to discussions and provide meeting minutes within 3 days following each meeting.
- Conducting root cause analyses during cyber assessments, focusing on research methods, findings, lessons learned, assumptions, and gap analyses in technical research results.
- Carrying out post-test analyses and reporting upon the conclusion of all cyber assessments.
- Leading mission-based, system-of-systems cyber assessments, alongside architecture development and refinement.
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of at least one of the following certifications:
- GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)
- CompTIA PenTest+
- Certified Penetration Tester (CPT IACRB)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (Master ECCouncil)
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Demonstrated experience in cyber penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
