Role Overview: Cybersecurity Engineer I
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Cybersecurity Engineer I to join our Global Infosec team. Your primary focus will be to secure our platforms, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring the safety of our company and the financial health of our clients in the US and the UK. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security controls that align with our mission to protect and empower our users.
As a remote-first company, Acorns offers flexibility in work arrangements, with optional office space available in Irvine, CA.
Your Responsibilities at Acorns:
Architect, deploy, and manage security tools and infrastructure to proactively detect and mitigate threats across cloud environments (AWS and GCP), corporate networks, and product platforms.
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to embed security practices within the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through threat modeling, code reviews, and automated testing.
Perform security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability management to identify and rectify risks within our applications and services.
Act as a point of escalation for security incidents, providing expertise during investigations and remediation efforts.
