The Data Privacy and Protection Specialist is essential to Amartha's mission. As a key player in safeguarding our data, you will lead various initiatives aimed at ensuring compliance and protecting against internal and external threats.
About the Team
The Information Security team at Amartha is a group of innovative, detail-oriented professionals dedicated to embedding security and privacy into every aspect of our product lifecycle and engineering processes. We are passionate about being the security backbone of Amartha’s digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the Data Privacy and Protection strategy, including comprehensive policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Design and implement effective solutions that comply with data protection laws and best practices (e.g., UU PDP, GDPR).
- Conduct assessments to identify gaps in our data privacy and protection practices.
- Engage with data subjects to communicate their rights, data usage, and the measures we have taken to protect their information.
- Define and manage Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
- Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) to evaluate risks associated with data processing.
- Develop and facilitate training and awareness programs on data privacy and protection for all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data privacy or information security.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
- Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication ability to convey complex information effectively across various organizational levels.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, FIP, CDPSE) are highly preferred.
