About the Role:
Smartsheet is on the lookout for a Data Scientist II to join our dynamic Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving data analyses, creating predictive and prescriptive models, and influencing strategic decisions. With a vast user base and numerous subscribing organizations, you will have ample opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to our growth through data analytics. We seek a curious individual with robust data science and machine learning capabilities, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate insights. You will collaborate closely with our Marketing and Engineering teams to leverage data for strategic initiatives.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to understand their objectives and uncover insights that drive measurable results.
- Designing and implementing advanced predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms to inform marketing and product strategies.
- Analyzing customer needs and developing metrics to evaluate product usage, optimizing features accordingly.
- Conducting experiments, causal studies, and A/B tests to assess marketing and product impact.
- Utilizing data to evaluate product performance and identify enhancement opportunities.
- Managing the entire analytics lifecycle, from defining business objectives to delivering automated reporting and visualizations.
- Presenting analyses to stakeholders and providing data-driven recommendations to foster informed decision-making in product ideation and feature launches.
- Strategically considering how to scale your work for broader impact.
- Identifying opportunities for further investigation and insight generation.
- Promoting a data-centric culture within the Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
