As a Department Manager at H&M, you will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring your team. A Day in the Life
Every day at H&M is unique, but your primary responsibilities will include:
- Customer Sales & Profit
- Oversee the OMNI customer experience in your department, ensuring visual and commercial alignment with global standards.
- Represent the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions.
- Identify and leverage your department's strengths to capitalize on commercial opportunities.
- Set and analyze sales and budget targets, devising strategies to enhance profitability.
- Guarantee exceptional customer service throughout the store and equip your team to effectively promote and sell products.
- Encourage the promotion of our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and sustainability initiatives within the store.
- Manage departmental operations efficiently.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed in fitting rooms and checkouts, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Maintain accurate administrative processes for both personnel and operations.
- Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Stay current with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and relevant influencers.
- Ensure your team provides informed product and fashion insights during customer interactions.
- Team & Development
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development of your in-store team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning to align business needs with team growth.
- Share your expertise and insights with your team to foster growth.
- Collaborate with the in-store Visual Merchandiser for cohesive planning and teamwork.
- Engage in constructive feedback exchanges with colleagues to facilitate learning and development.
- Oversee team scheduling and planning.
- Communicate regularly with store colleagues to motivate and inspire through daily and weekly briefings.
