We are in search of a motivated and mission-focused Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to lead a high-profile, enterprise-level implementation program that holds significant Congressional interest and directly influences millions of Veterans and their beneficiaries. This unique opportunity involves steering a multi-year modernization initiative of national significance, collaborating closely with top federal leaders to promote a transformative agenda.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced federal program leader, demonstrating exceptional judgment, adept stakeholder engagement abilities, and a proven track record in politically sensitive, high-scrutiny environments, including interactions with oversight bodies and Congressional stakeholders.
The responsibilities include:
- Providing high-level program management leadership for a major Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) enterprise implementation project, ensuring milestone delivery, alignment with strategic priorities, and consistent cross-enterprise coordination.
- Supporting the development of program strategies, operational models, timelines, risk frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Leading cross-functional planning, issue resolution, and governance processes to sustain program momentum and ensure transparency.
- Preparing high-quality materials, briefings, and communications for senior VA leadership, oversight bodies, and other federal stakeholders.
- Coordinating extensively with internal VA organizations, federal partners, and external stakeholders, including Veteran Service Organizations, to ensure alignment and drive program success.
- Managing enterprise-level tracking and reporting, encompassing progress updates, interdependency management, legislative considerations, and policy impacts.
