We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a focus on Observability and CI/CD to work within the ecosystem surrounding Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). This role will be instrumental in ensuring that applications have a secure, automated, and reliable pathway to production while providing complete visibility into the health of the environment through a modern, agnostic observability stack. The position requires a strong hands-on approach, systemic vision, and close collaboration with development and operations teams.
Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and optimize deployment pipelines using Harness (or similar tools).
Engage directly with GCP environments, focusing on GKE.
Implement and enhance the observability stack with Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, Fluentbit, Splunk, and Grafana.
Set up and manage Service Mesh (Gloo Mesh) for traffic management and security (mTLS).
Integrate infrastructure with security and secret management tools such as HashiCorp Vault and External Secrets.
Implement event-driven autoscaling using KEDA.
Ensure best practices for reliability, traceability, and security in the Kubernetes environment.
Collaborate with engineering teams to foster a DevOps culture and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Hands-on experience with GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).
Solid experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk).
Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Harness, ArgoCD, or similar).
Experience with Helm for packaging and managing applications in Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Service Mesh and Ingress Controllers.
Experience with HashiCorp Vault or other secret management solutions.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments (preferably GKE).
Differentials
Knowledge of integration with Artifactory.
Experience with GitOps practices.
Experience in automating security policies (e.g., Kyverno).
