The Role
We are seeking a talented Digital Advertising Specialist (Independent Contractor) to join our marketing team at ITHAKA. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead and enhance our digital marketing initiatives, focusing specifically on paid search and social media advertising. Your responsibilities will include managing and optimizing Google Ads and LinkedIn campaigns, emphasizing strategic audience targeting, ad development, performance tracking, and making informed adjustments to campaign strategies. This remote position requires a commitment of approximately 20-25 hours per month, with flexibility based on campaign requirements and seasonal trends. - Enhance brand awareness, engagement, and conversions through targeted digital advertising efforts.
- Maximize return on investment through effective ad spend optimization.
- Utilize data-driven strategies to inform advertising decisions.
- Ensure alignment of advertising initiatives with overarching marketing goals across ITHAKA’s diverse product and service offerings.
Scope of Services
Strategy and Planning
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand our brands, products, services, and marketing objectives.
- Assist in defining target audiences and developing buyer personas.
- Identify digital advertising opportunities that align with our business goals.
- Establish key metrics for campaign evaluation.
Campaign Development and Execution
For paid search advertising (Google Ads):
- Create and refine paid search strategies that align with JSTOR’s mission.
- Manage and optimize ITHAKA’s Google Ads account, leveraging Google for Nonprofits grants.
- Perform keyword research to support the creation of high-performing ad copy.
- Monitor budget pacing, bid strategies, and audience targeting for optimal results.
