As a Digital Merchandising Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Digital Merchandising team by managing and enhancing our product catalog. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring that product information is accurate and up-to-date, updating pricing details, and optimizing site presentation.
You will collaborate closely with the Catalog Operations team, Partner Success team, and Category Managers. Your tasks will encompass curating product and seller data, performing quality assurance on the catalog, product pages, and other website components.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expertise: Develop an understanding of popular products, customer buying trends, and competitor strategies, especially if you are involved with the Sports & Outdoor collection.
- Customer Expertise: Gain insights into the GOVX customer and understand the communication style that resonates with them.
Your role will include curating product, event, and seller data to enhance the shopping experience:
- Keep product data current by curating new Shop products, including images, descriptions, and pricing.
- Map relevant products to the primary categories in the GOVX taxonomy.
- Utilize relevant keywords to improve catalog discoverability.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on products and collection grids on the live site.
Additionally, you will assist with updating storefront collections to create an engaging shopping experience:
- Search the global product catalog to identify and map relevant products to our collections.
- Ensure that only pertinent products appear in collections by maintaining accurate product data.
- Update relevant filters within each collection and ensure correct product tagging for optimal filter results.
