As a Dining Room Host at Hebrew SeniorLife, you will warmly welcome and seat residents and their guests in our dining area, oversee the activities of food service staff, and ensure the dining environment remains tidy and organized. You'll also handle guest checks and stay updated on local health regulations and food safety standards. Your role is pivotal in enhancing resident satisfaction and ensuring adherence to our Cultural Beliefs.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat residents and guests with a friendly demeanor.
Manage guest check accuracy before they are processed by the Finance Department.
Delegate and oversee side work duties among staff.
Handle dining room reservations efficiently.
Provide assistance in serving and bussing as required.
Understand residents' dining preferences and needs.
Collaborate with Front Desk and Marketing teams on hospitality initiatives.
Support the training of new dining staff.
Act as a supervisor when management is unavailable.
Complete a nightly Host report accurately.
