The Waymo AI Foundations team is dedicated to pioneering machine learning solutions that tackle critical challenges in autonomous driving, aiming to ensure the safe operation of Waymo vehicles in diverse urban settings and under varying conditions. We are committed to fostering collaborations with other research teams within Alphabet. Current focus areas include reinforcement learning, learning from demonstration, generative modeling, Bayesian inference, hierarchical learning, and robust model evaluation.
This position operates on a hybrid work schedule and reports directly to the Vice President of AI Foundations.
