About the job
At Definian, we empower organizations to unlock the potential of their data and define their next steps in digital evolution. With our expertise in data strategy, modernization, advanced analytics, and AI & automation, we provide leaders with the insights needed for precise navigation through their digital transformation journey.
We are currently in search of a dynamic Director of Business Development to spearhead and expand our Oracle practice revenue. This senior-level individual contributor position will focus on both acquiring new clients and expanding our footprint within existing Oracle accounts. The role encompasses all aspects of sales within the Oracle ecosystem, whether clients engage directly through Oracle, via Oracle Consulting Services, or through global systems integrators.
This is a revenue-driven position—not an alliance management role. The ideal candidate will possess deep understanding of the Oracle landscape, including its partner ecosystem and client base, and be able to position Definian as the trusted data partner throughout each stage of a client’s Oracle journey—from migration to modernization, analytics, and AI readiness.
You will collaborate closely with Mike Boivin, our Chief Revenue Officer, as well as Definian’s delivery leadership, to build a robust pipeline, shape impactful deals, and close business that reflects the comprehensive offerings of Definian.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the complete Oracle practice sales cycle: pursue new logos, expand existing accounts, and manage relationships across Oracle’s direct sales teams, Oracle Consulting Services, and GSI channel partners.
- Create and sustain a high-quality sales pipeline through targeted outreach, leveraging Oracle ecosystem relationships, and participating in Oracle events and partner networks.
- Establish Definian’s strong presence in the Oracle ecosystem, building credibility with Oracle account teams, OCS, and key SIs, ensuring Definian is considered for any Oracle-adjacent data engagements.
- Formulate and implement business development strategies that surpass revenue targets in migration, modernization, analytics, governance, and AI offerings within Oracle-focused accounts.
- Manage the entire sales cycle with discipline—from initial discovery to proposal, negotiation, and closure—using a structured approach to create predictable forecasts.
- Work alongside delivery leaders to craft compelling, contract-winning proposals for enterprise clients, ensuring the right technical and solution expertise is brought into each opportunity.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and account information in Salesforce, ensuring visibility and accountability.
