We believe that everyone should enjoy great coffee every day, and each new store we open is a testament to that vision.About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Expansion Manager who can transform raw spaces into fully operational LAP stores, adhering to timelines and budgets without compromising quality. You will oversee every phase of the buildout process—from site evaluations and reading architectural drawings to effectively managing contractors and enhancing the overall customer and barista experience.This position bridges expansion, operations, and process optimization. It is hands-on by nature, yet you will always maintain a strategic perspective. If you excel at converting chaos into organized, finished stores, we want to hear from you!What You'll DoStore Buildouts & Construction · This is the core of the roleManage fit-out projects from initiation to completion: site analysis, securing permits, contractor oversight, timeline management, budget adherence, and the seamless handover of keys to operations.Be actively present on-site. Interpret the drawings accurately and preemptively identify issues before they lead to delays.Solicit bids and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers—ensuring strict accountability regarding timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.Conduct thorough technical site assessments (structural integrity, floor load capacity, MEP feasibility) and provide clear go/no-go recommendations.Oversee snagging, defect resolution, and formal handover processes—ensuring that operations are satisfied before project completion.Process OptimizationTransform each buildout into a refined template for future projects—document successes and eliminate inefficiencies.Develop workflows for procurement, briefing, and cost-tracking to expedite store openings without sacrificing quality.Configure and maintain tools like Asana, Notion, and dashboards to ensure the team remains aligned across multiple projects.Portfolio PerformanceEnsure optimal performance of existing locations—manage ad-hoc requests, coordinate with technicians, anticipate downtime, and implement strategic enhancements.Identify and implement improvements across the portfolio that boost performance, beyond just resolving issues.
