About the job
The Director of Engineering will spearhead the technical vision for enterprise-scale platforms, encompassing backend systems, modern web applications, and data ecosystems. This pivotal role holds accountability for architecture governance, engineering excellence, cloud modernization, and the seamless integration of scalable data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Organizational Leadership
Develop a multi-year engineering strategy that aligns with business goals.
Lead various engineering teams including frontend, backend, and data integration.
Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and standards for operational excellence.
Strengthen leadership capabilities across Managers, Architects, and Principals.
Technical & Architecture Leadership
Take ownership of Java-based microservices and distributed system architecture.
Define standards for scalable React frontend architecture.
Lead cloud-native transformation initiatives (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Oversee the integration of Snowflake data warehousing and Databricks data processing.
Set security, compliance, and observability standards.
Operational Excellence
Enhance deployment frequency, release quality, and platform reliability.
Advance DevOps maturity, automation, and CI/CD best practices.
Align engineering processes with AI-driven product evolution and BI strategies.
Required Expertise
Extensive knowledge of Java (Spring Boot, microservices, concurrency).
Robust understanding of React platform architecture.
Experience with enterprise cloud architecture.
Deep familiarity with Snowflake and Databricks ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI/ML integration strategies.
Leadership experience in enterprise BI and analytics.
