Salary range: €43,000 - €52,000
Key Purpose
The Director of Food and Beverage is tasked with overseeing the strategic development and execution of all food and beverage operations at the IFI Café Bar. This role is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience, cultivating a high-performing team, promoting innovative practices, and ensuring sustainable growth through astute financial and operational management.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Development
Collaborate with senior management, including the Director of Operations and Finance Director, to establish a strategic vision for food and beverage that aligns with the organization’s cultural and commercial objectives.
Stay abreast of industry trends and consumer preferences to inform menu design, product offerings, and pricing strategies.
Champion service initiatives that enhance the customer experience and embody the IFI’s brand values.
Guest Experience Support
Promote a culture of warm, inclusive service and hospitality within the Café Bar.
Ensure consistent customer service standards through collaboration with team supervisors.
Refine the customer journey with an emphasis on accessibility, efficiency, and overall satisfaction.
Analyze customer feedback to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
Food & Beverage Development
Oversee kitchen operations, working closely with the Head Chef to develop seasonal menus that accommodate dietary needs and promote sustainability.
Advance initiatives that focus on ethical food sourcing, local procurement, and waste reduction.
Foster innovation through eco-friendly packaging solutions and new dining concepts.
Financial & Commercial Support
Partner with the Operations and Finance Directors to monitor financial performance and achieve revenue, margin, and cost-control objectives.
Utilize data analysis to guide purchasing and pricing strategies.
Manage supplier relationships to guarantee product quality and value.
Contribute to the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes as necessary.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead a diverse food and beverage team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members, including supervisors and culinary staff.
Establish and maintain effective recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management practices.
Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
