We are currently in search of a Director of Security Operations to lead our security initiatives. This critical role involves overseeing the safety of our personnel, securing materials, facilities, and sensitive information against threats such as physical assault, fraud, and industrial sabotage.
The Director of Security Operations will be instrumental in safeguarding our assets, livestock, inventory, personnel, and brand reputation across various operations including farms, processing plants, cold storage facilities, distribution centers, and retail outlets. The ideal candidate will ensure that our security, loss prevention, and risk mitigation strategies are effectively aligned with the unique demands of a high-value livestock and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a secure working environment for all employees and transactions.
- Design and implement a comprehensive security risk management framework, including relevant policies, procedures, and controls.
- Investigate significant variances and losses, perform root-cause analyses, and propose corrective actions in collaboration with Internal Audit.
- Manage relationships with external security providers and supervise a team of security personnel to ensure the protection of all facilities.
- Plan and execute security systems that ensure the safety of individuals and the integrity of commercial and industrial assets.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems including CCTV, entry controls, alarms, and other security technologies.
- Collaborate with public and private entities to enhance security efficiency and support the prosecution of serious crimes.
- Conduct surprise security drills to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures.
- Ensure the safety and personal security of both staff and visitors.
- Develop and enforce security protocols and regulations, serving as the main point of contact for all departments regarding security needs.
