Key Responsibilities
- Define aircraft configuration specifications for newly acquired, leased, or purchased aircraft to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Issue and maintain the maintenance program (MP) and minimum equipment list (MEL) for each aircraft type in the fleet.
- Evaluate the applicability of each Airworthiness Directive (AD) and mandatory service bulletin; issue engineering orders as necessary.
- Assess optional service bulletins based on company policy and implement selected changes through engineering orders.
- Manage engine fleet performance and conduct trend monitoring.
- Coordinate with manufacturers to obtain maintenance and airworthiness data, including updates, and distribute this information to relevant personnel and contracted service providers.
- Regularly update the status of maintenance and airworthiness documents.
- Act as a liaison with aircraft and engine manufacturers to negotiate concessions and address chronic defects.
- Conduct engineering studies for reliability reports and provide recommendations for approval by the Reliability Control Board (RCB).
- Prepare long-term, medium-term, and short-term maintenance event plans based on commercial requirements and the aircraft maintenance program.
- Generate a bill of work (BOW) for each maintenance check and prepare a work package (WP) to be issued to line maintenance or contracted Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) ahead of scheduled checks.
- Oversee material control and procurement within technical services to ensure the availability of materials, components, and special tools for timely maintenance.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplied materials.
- Maintain aircraft technical records, summarize executed checks, and update maintenance data accordingly.
- Manage planning and scheduling, ensuring that all open or deferred tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in maintaining and updating logbooks and technical records for leased or sold aircraft.
- Ensure the approved maintenance organization is equipped with the necessary facilities and resources to fulfill assigned tasks.
