As the Director of Technical Writing, you will redefine the creation, delivery, and experience of technical documentation at GitLab. Reporting to the Chief Design Officer, you will lead a team through a significant transformation, emphasizing AI, process innovation, and closer collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and UX. You will challenge existing assumptions, empower engineering teams to take greater ownership of source documentation, and explore ways to enhance the product experience with documentation, including through GitLab Duo.
In your first year, you will evaluate the current team structure, enhance skills and capabilities for the next phase of the function, improve collaboration with partner groups, and increase satisfaction with the documentation site.
