Qualifications
2 to 3 years of professional experience in a similar role within a ship management or commodity trading company.A university degree (BSc, and preferably MSc) in Economics, Maritime Studies, Business, or related fields.In-depth understanding of port tariffs, contracts, charter parties, and terminology relevant to the petroleum industry and commercial commodities; strong knowledge of marine and terminal operations.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Results-oriented with robust organizational and time management capabilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PC literacy.Fluent in English, both oral and written.

The Disbursements Operator plays a pivotal role in overseeing all port-related expenses and agency fees for the vessels under management. The primary objective is to enhance cost efficiencies through strategic negotiations with port service providers, focusing on agency, tug, and launch service discounts.
Key responsibilities include meticulous control and negotiation of port expenses and agency fees, verification of supporting vouchers for authenticity, monitoring the application of discounts, identifying items accruing to charterers' accounts, and submitting claims to charterers. Additionally, you will allocate expenses to relevant departments and provide essential information regarding port costs to the Chartering department. Participation in optimization initiatives and projects is also expected when required.
This is a permanent, on-site position based in Vouliagmeni, Greece.
