Join our dedicated team as a Dishwasher (Steward) for the Spring/Summer 2026 season at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in beautiful Banff! This position transcends traditional dishwashing; it's about upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and precision that contribute to an outstanding guest experience. As a Steward, you will serve as a vital Guardian of cleanliness, structure, and process, ensuring that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Precision in Execution:
- Efficiently manage ware-washing, storage, and sanitation of dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans across various kitchens and banquet areas using both commercial dishwashers and manual washing techniques.
- Accurately sort and store china, glass, and silverware in their designated areas.
- Clean, sanitize, and polish silver and banquet equipment to meet luxury presentation standards.
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules and task lists with diligence.
- Thoroughly complete all opening and closing duties.
Operational Discipline:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen facilities, outlets, and banquet areas daily.
- Regularly clean and maintain kitchen floors, ovens, stovetops, walls, drains, and ceiling tiles.
- Promptly handle garbage and recycling removal following hotel policies and Parks Canada regulations.
- Follow WHMIS guidelines and safety standards when using chemicals and equipment.
- Keep storage areas organized and equipment prepared at all times.
Team & Service Support:
- Assist Culinary and F&B teams by ensuring equipment is always available and ready for use.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues to maintain operational flow.
- Uphold hotel health, safety, and environmental policies through strict adherence to procedures.
- Support the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team as needed.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
