We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to join our team in Baldwin Park, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in coordinating logistics and ensuring smooth operations for our drivers. As a Dispatcher, you will communicate effectively with drivers, manage service orders, and resolve issues efficiently. Your contributions will help maintain high service standards and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between drivers and clients to address any on-route issues.
- Process incoming service orders and manage driver assignments while troubleshooting service problems.
- Engage with customers, including sales and operational staff (Route Managers, Mechanics, etc.), to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Utilize proprietary software for ticket entry and activity tracking.
- Dispatch drivers based on real-time customer needs, driver locations, and other logistical factors to optimize cost-effectiveness and response speed.
- Assign daily routes and service tickets to drivers, closing service tickets at the end of each day.
- Handle incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries efficiently.
- Proactively troubleshoot delivery and pick-up challenges to prevent service disruptions.
- Ensure timely service for missed pick-ups by coordinating drivers' movements in the field.
- Document and relay relevant driver information to the necessary departments.
- Act as an emergency contact for maintenance concerns and coordinate with shop personnel.
