As the District Sales Manager (DSM) at Expeditors, you will spearhead our District Sales Program, ensuring a robust and effective sales strategy across our global offices. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering the growth of our diverse product and service offerings, while also enhancing collaboration within our extensive global network.
Key Responsibilities
The District Sales Manager will focus on three primary areas to drive success. The expected outcomes for a successful DSM are outlined as follows:
- Lead the Sales Program
- Develop and uphold a strategic vision for the District Sales Program.
- Analyze market trends and relay insights to District and Regional leadership teams.
- Implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our branding guidelines, ensuring consistent customer proposals and effective communication, including the organization of regular customer events.
- Collaborate with district and regional Product and Geo leaders to support product initiative development.
2. Manage & Cultivate the Sales Department
- Proactively close significant sales opportunities alongside the Sales Executive team.
- Recruit and interview to build a capable sales team that effectively engages with our district's customer base.
- Oversee the Sales Department budget and ensure financial accountability.
- Facilitate weekly sales meetings to foster communication and collaboration within the teams.
- Provide coaching and feedback to the sales team, ensuring they meet performance expectations.
- Prepare the team for seamless transitions in newly acquired business.
- Develop and manage career development plans for Sales Operations and Sales Executives.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, monthly pipeline reviews, and quarterly performance evaluations.
