Position Summary:
The District Sales Manager will spearhead sales initiatives for Hayward Flow Control products in key markets, particularly municipal water and chemical processing. This role emphasizes the expansion of distributor inventory and the enhancement of field-level engagement throughout a designated territory. The successful candidate will cultivate robust relationships with primary distribution partners, ensure optimal product visibility, and provide distributor sales teams with the necessary technical training and resources to effectively promote Hayward products.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategic territory plans to amplify sales in the municipal water and chemical processing sectors through increased distributor inventory and on-ground sales activities.
- Select and prioritize distributor locations for expanding core product line inventories, including valves, actuators, strainers, and filters.
- Conduct regular visits to distributor branches to assess inventory levels, identify product shortages, and ensure adherence to Hayward’s stocking protocols.
- Provide comprehensive training to distributor sales teams on product applications, technical advantages, and value propositions tailored for municipal and chemical processing clients.
- Collaborate with distributor sales representatives on joint customer engagements, product demonstrations, and project development initiatives.
- Work closely with Hayward’s Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, and Marketing teams to execute promotions, product launches, and targeted campaigns in the designated markets.
- Monitor and report key metrics, including inventory increases at distributor branches, sales growth per product line, and training activities in the CRM system.
- Collect competitive intelligence and market feedback to support new product development and strategic planning.
