Join our expanding team at remote-raven as a dedicated Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Specialist, where your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing our sleep medicine operations. This remote role emphasizes the importance of patient education on CPAP compliance and effective communication, while also overseeing essential administrative and coordination tasks related to sleep testing and DME workflows.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in sleep therapy, be adept at fostering patient relationships, and seamlessly balance operational and patient-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Communication & CPAP Compliance
- Engage with patients to discuss CPAP usage, compliance guidelines, and troubleshooting solutions.
- Educate patients on the significance of therapy adherence and respond to common inquiries.
- Accurately document patient interactions within our system.
- Coordinate follow-ups to monitor compliance and therapy progress.
DME & Sleep Operations Support
- Schedule sleep studies, tests, and relevant appointments for patients.
- Coordinate CPAP setup appointments and manage equipment delivery logistics.
- Process DME resupply orders with precision and timeliness.
- Provide non-clinical counseling to patients regarding equipment use and subsequent steps.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to DME and sleep services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a DME Specialist, Sleep Technician, or Respiratory Therapist is preferred.
- Solid understanding of CPAP therapy and compliance standards.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Comfortable managing both patient-facing and administrative duties.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while managing various tasks effectively.
Preferred Background
- Experience in sleep medicine or DME operations is beneficial.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and DME workflows.
- Prior experience coordinating sleep tests and CPAP setups is an advantage.
Requirements
This is a full-time position.
Hourly pay up to $6.
This role is 100% remote.
