Job Summary
Titan Robotics, Inc. is excited to welcome a skilled Electrical Robotics Technician to our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the assembly, integration, and maintenance of advanced robotic systems. You will be responsible for fabricating high-quality electrical components, including wiring, cable harnesses, control panels, and sensor interfaces. The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous eye for detail, have substantial experience in electrical assembly within both production and R&D environments, and demonstrate comfort in troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems. Regular communication with the engineering team regarding technical issues is essential. Experience in mechanical assembly is a valuable bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Terminate wires and connectors utilizing techniques such as crimping, pinning, and ferrules.
- Construct and route cable harnesses according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret and analyze wiring schematics and cable designs.
- Execute high-quality through-hole and cup terminal soldering.
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels and junction boxes.
- Install components, label wiring, and ensure proper routing.
- Verify assemblies for safety, functionality, and compliance with standards.
- Assist in wiring robotic systems during assembly and integration phases.
- Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, cable testers, and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues, including shorts, intermittent faults, and sensor failures.
- Conduct electrical wiring modifications as necessary on robotic equipment.
- Provide constructive feedback to engineering for design and assembly improvements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain an organized, clean workspace.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and possess strong communication skills.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced working environment.
- Anticipate travel requirements of approximately 25% or less.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in manufacturing wire harnesses and cables.
- Familiarity with various wire harness tools.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work from elevated surfaces (e.g., ladders).
- Must be able to obtain airport security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in robotics, automation, or custom machine assembly environments.
- Familiarity with PLCs, motor controllers, sensors, and low-voltage control systems.
- Adept at troubleshooting both electrical and basic mechanical challenges.
- Hands-on mechanical assembly experience, including component installation, fastener usage, and mechanical subsystem assembly.
