The Electromechanical Test Engineer will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and yield of our in-line testing processes. This engineer will collaborate closely with suppliers and engineering teams to diagnose issues and offer solutions during new product introductions (NPI).
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and clarify Formlabs' defined testing procedures to our manufacturing partners.
- Facilitate new product development by ensuring designs are thoroughly evaluated by manufacturing partners for manufacturability (DFM), testability (DFT), and adherence to quality, methods, and cost protocols.
- Collaborate with EMS suppliers to establish and implement manufacturing tests for electrical hardware and software at various levels: board, module, and system.
- Oversee product/system tests conducted on-site at our manufacturing partners.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation (procedures, processes, tools, etc.) and cooperate with the Formlabs Factory Software team to debug and enhance new testing methods.
- Strive to minimize test cycle times through process improvements and test optimization strategies.
- Assist in the installation and setup of test-related hardware and computers.
- Write queries to support manufacturing yield dashboards and facilitate data collection.
- Contribute to the development and revision of test documents and standard operating procedures.
